TREATY: Bryant McGill Teams-Up with Lenny Kravitz, Lou Gossett Jr. and Chayanne for World Charity Day
January 19, 2010 -- Bryant McGill has officially teamed up with musician Lenny Kravitz, actor Lou Gossett Jr., Latin singing sensation, Chayanne, Miami Heat's forward Udonis Haslem, and others, for the World Charity Day project. McGill has joined the project with television appearances, and as a media spokesperson, commissioner, and a U.S. law creator for the legislative joint resolution in the United States Congress and Senate, that will be presented to the President for signing, forever marking October 10th annually, as "World Charity Day."
McGill is presently appearing in World Charity Day's compassionate, international media campaign honoring the world's charities, through a year-long media blitz and prime-time public service announcement featuring himself and other recognizable faces simply saying, "thank you." The TV campaign is airing on the Plum TV Network, FOX, CBS, NBC, and ABC, and will be culminating on 10.10.2010 with the "World Charity Day" summit and international musical concerts in New York, LA, Miami Beach, Japan and the UK, with performances by Grammy award-winning, top musical artists. The honorary ceremony, which is being attended by some of the world's most recognized celebrity personalities, will be televised live from the Fountain Blue Resort in Miami Beach. The World Charity Summit will open with musical concerts around the world and close with the World Charity Day Annual ceremony, all to honor our most important natural resource, "Those who help." Along with being a World Charity Day commissioner, McGill and his Goodwill Treaty for World Peace project is a featured honoree in attendance at this special gala event. Other commissioners include political consultants Michael Abrams, Jane Sargent, Jonny Podell of the distinguished Podell Booking Agency, Purple PR, Lesley Barton of Humanity Unite, Tanya Estrazulas-Gullick, Tara Solomon, and World Charity Day project manager, Ellen Newburger Woods.
McGill said, "I am beyond grateful to be able to participate in such a meaningful project with such a profound and lasting legacy. This project is wonderful, inclusive and being orchestrated by those with selfless and pure hearts for positive change. Creating a day on the calendar is such a magnificent and lasting affirmation of hope and goodwill. I count my involvement with this project as one of my life's greatest milestones in making a lasting statement; a beautiful affirmation showing heartfelt appreciation to those who carry the banner of service and hope for those in need. To me World Charity Day represents a day of remembrance, renewal and resolve to put forward those heroic organizations and individuals who demand that all people deserve compassion, fellowship and assistance in their times of need. We must honor and uphold before society, those who stand in the breach of epic disaster and atrocity, and who offer their hearts and hands to those who quietly suffer through the ravages and indignations of human frailty. Humanity's greatest cause and purpose is to protect the humanity and dignity of the suffering. I look forward to the event on 10.10.2010, where I will be in attendance with Ambassadors Owen Cotter, Lesley Barton, Jennifer Timblin, and other key members of the Goodwill Treaty for World Peace. I am deeply thankful to my project partners, and of course the WCD project manager for gifting me this privilege of service, which I will carry close to my heart, as one of the greatest honors of my lifetime."
A few charities being honored at the World Charity Day Summit include African Well Fund, Drop In The Bucket, Feed America's Hungry, Feed The World, Make It Right, Save The Music, Save A Child, Shelter Box, SOS Children's Villages, Musicians Benevolent Fund, Childhope Asia Philippines, Bantay Bata, Tuloy Foundation, and Save The World's Street Children.

Cynicism is the only true enemy of progress. Your oath IS POWER, and we CAN make a difference. Every life is precious. Let us subdue the ravages of the baser-self, and aspire to the higher calling of exalting joy through compassion, for that is the one true purpose of humanity. Please, join us now, and become that great calling."

TREATY: McGill Officially Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
February 10, 2009 -- Bryant McGill, the Founder and Goodwill Ambassador at Large for the Goodwill Treaty for World Peace has been officially Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. A group of deans at major universities, college chancellors, professors, university department heads, state legislators, and Emmy Award winners have come together to lay the groundwork, culminating in the official nomination for a man who has dedicated his life and dreams to a vision of greater peace and harmony in the world.
McGill, whose Ambassadorship was recently officially recognized by the United States Congress, and the State of Connecticut's Capitol through three senators and numerous legislators said:
"While I am deeply humbled and grateful, I must say that if we are lucky, perhaps after a decade of work, our team could be deserving of today's honour. I am ready for that work, and will not relent."
Recent signers onto the 25 year mission of the project include Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, George Noory, Charles Barkley, Don Cheadle, Jason Alexander, Montel Williams and Raymond "Ray" Romano. The Goodwill Treaty for World Peace is only in its second year, and has already garnered over 40 thousand signatures from 133 countries. The Treaty and McGill's writings, and work as an activist for world peace have been recognized by the United Nations, European Parliament, general assemblies, state capitals, legislators, leading cultural icons, "A-List" celebrities, world leaders, royalty, and dignitaries around the globe.
"This nomination, while in my name does not belong to me. I dedicate this nomination to all lovers of peace, who dare to have the unmitigated audacity to stand up to the sickness of cynicism, and defiantly believe that a more beautiful world is possible."
I would especially like to thank the following:
My true friends and supporters
Lesley Barton, Ambassador at Large
The faculty of Arizona State University, and the University of South Alabama,
my agent, Robert Sherwood
my manager, Bill Perrot
Tom Danheiser and Emmy award Winner, George Noory
the distinguished Philip Rubin Scholar, Dr. Gregory Cotter,
and all those who have participated in this enormous leap of faith.
"In order to continue to be blessed with the permission and protection to succeed in my mission, and to further canonize my intentions, making my contract with the universe unbreakable, I will be transferring the million dollar prize that would come with the winning of the Nobel Prize to charity."
"I am calling out for help to all good spirited people in the world, who have faith that through love, the world can be transformed into a sanctuary of abundance for all."
"Vast regions of the world are now literal human slaughter houses, where deserving, bright-hopeful eyes, now stare blankly toward the last hiding places deep within. Each of these worthy souls have been robbed by poverty, fear and grotesque apathy. They exist as former humans, who should be delightfully moving through the sacrosanct journey of life with dignity, but are instead reduced to mere vessels of pain; they exist each relentless moment as vessels of pure misery."
"Cynicism is the only true enemy of progress. We may not be able to change the world overnight, and I have no fantasies of creating a utopia, but trust with me, through faith in possibility, that we can make some difference, and no matter how slight that difference is, it will be a resounding triumph for humanity! We are now taking our message before the kings and common citizens of the world, where we will open our hearts and implore their deepest consideration, and they will be changed. As Victor Hugo wrote, 'There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.' The time has come. We can, will and ARE creating a ripple, that will traverse the globe, carrying with it a message of hope through oneness."
"Please lay down your cynicism, and believe like little children in the transformative power of love. Give peace a chance by daring to believe all things are possible when you follow your heart. Sign the treaty today, and join us in making a binding contract with the universe for a better world tomorrow. Your oath IS POWER. Your declaration is the first step in a seemingly impossible journey."
"Every life is precious. Let us subdue the ravages of the baser-self, and aspire to the higher calling of exalting joy through compassion, for that is the one true purpose of humanity. Please, join us now, and become that great calling."
